House Rules for Cedar Creek Escape
Welcome to Cedar Creek Escape! We’re thrilled you chose our peaceful 3-acre retreat for your getaway. These simple guidelines help keep everyone safe, protect the property, and ensure a relaxing experience for all guests — including our onsite groundskeeper who lives in a separate residence and maintains the grounds without entering your home.
General House Rules
No Smoking or Vaping: Strictly prohibited inside the house or near windows/doors. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas — please use the provided receptacles for cigarette butts.
No Parties or Unauthorized Gatherings: The home is for the registered number of guests only. Any additional visitors or events require prior written approval. Unauthorized parties may result in eviction and extra fees.
Quiet Hours: Please keep noise to a minimum from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM out of respect for neighbors.
Maximum Occupancy: Up to 12 guests (including children). Exceeding this without approval is not permitted.
Check-in & Check-out: Check-in after 3:00 PM | Check-out by 11:00 AM. Early/late requests may be accommodated when possible but could incur fees.
No Pets: Pets are not allowed without prior written approval. Unauthorized pets may result in extra cleaning fees or eviction.
Respect the Property: You’re responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. Please report any issues to us right away.
Trash & Recycling: Use the designated bins and follow the guidelines in the guest book. Secure trash to avoid attracting wildlife.
Water Safety – Pond & Creek
Our beautiful private creek and pond are wonderful to enjoy from the deck or trails, but they are natural features with risks (currents, uneven bottoms, wildlife).
Swimming, wading, or entering the water is strictly prohibited.
Children under 16 must be actively supervised by an adult at all times near any water. Never leave kids unattended.
No fishing without prior host approval and required permits.
Please keep the area clean — no littering near the water.
Stay within guest areas and respect all barriers and signage.
Groundskeeper & Outdoor Spaces
A dedicated groundskeeper lives on-site in a private separate residence and cares for the grounds, pond, and exterior. You’ll have complete privacy inside the house — they will not enter without your permission.
Please don’t interfere with their work or enter restricted areas (sheds, maintenance zones).
Keep outdoor spaces tidy when not in use.
Report any maintenance issues directly to the host (not the groundskeeper).
Safety & Emergencies
This property is equipped with a Minut monitoring device to help maintain a peaceful environment for our guests and neighbors.
The device monitors noise levels, temperature, and humidity only. It does not record audio, video, or conversations, and it does not track movement or Wi-Fi usage.
The purpose is simply to protect the home and ensure everyone enjoys a comfortable, respectful stay. Excessive noise (especially after 10 PM) may result in a warning or additional fees as outlined in our house rules.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep this home in great condition for future guests!
Fire Safety: Open flames (campfires, candles, fireworks) are not permitted unless in a host-approved designated area.
Wildlife: Secure food and trash. Do not feed or approach animals.
Neighboring Animals: Neighbors may have dogs or other animals nearby. We are not responsible for any interactions — please use caution.
In an emergency, contact local authorities and reach out to us immediately.

By booking and staying at Cedar Creek Escape, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and that of your group. The host, owner, and groundskeeper are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses related to the pond, creek, wildlife, neighboring animals, or other natural features.
